Air Algerie orders 10 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft for fleet modernization

Air Algerie announced it has ordered 10 Boeing (NYSE: BA) 737 MAX 8 aircraft as part of Algeria's national strategy to develop civil air transport.
The Algerian national carrier said the acquisition aims to modernize its fleet, expand its route network and improve passenger service quality. According to a company statement cited by state news agency APS, five aircraft are expected for delivery in the second half of this year, with the remaining five scheduled for next year.
The airline did not disclose financial terms of the order. Air Algerie stated the purchase aligns with efforts to keep pace with aviation sector developments and meet domestic and international market demands.
The carrier said the new aircraft would strengthen its competitiveness and market position in the aviation industry.
