Jaguar Land Rover to shut UK plant for two weeks after supplier fire - FT

Jaguar Land Rover will close its Solihull plant for two weeks following a fire at a supplier facility in Norway, according to a company statement to suppliers on Thursday the FT reported.

The British carmaker, owned by India's Tata Motors, said it will pause production of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models until April 8. The shutdown includes a previously scheduled five-day closure for the Easter weekend.

The production halt represents another operational disruption for the company, which experienced a £260 million one-month shutdown last year due to a cyber attack.

The company informed its supplier network of the temporary closure, which affects manufacturing at the West Midlands facility. No additional details about the supplier fire or its specific impact on parts availability were provided in the statement.
