CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) announced an expanded strategic collaboration with Intel to optimize the CrowdStrike Falcon platform for Intel-powered AI PCs, according to a company statement.
The collaboration aims to provide real-time threat detection and data protection for AI-driven workflows as artificial intelligence workloads move directly onto endpoint devices. The partnership combines CrowdStrike's security platform with Intel's on-device AI acceleration across CPUs, GPUs, and neural processing units.
"The rise of AI PCs is changing not just how work gets done, but where execution and risk live," said Daniel Bernard, chief business officer at CrowdStrike. "As AI moves directly onto the endpoint, security has to operate where those interactions happen."
The expanded collaboration includes several components. Falcon Data Security will discover, classify, and enforce policies to prevent data exposure as employees interact with AI assistants and applications. The platform will combine CrowdStrike's threat intelligence with Intel's neural processing units and silicon-level telemetry, including Intel Threat Detection Technology.
Intel vPro technology will enable hardware-assisted recovery and fleet management, allowing IT teams to restore and secure systems when operating systems are unavailable. The partnership also provides unified visibility across user, device, and data behavior as AI-driven activity operates across different surfaces.
"By combining Intel's AI PC architectures with CrowdStrike's Falcon platform, we're enabling real-time security and data protection on the device without compromising performance or user experience," said Jen Larson, General Manager of Commercial Client Segments at Intel's Client Computing Group.
The companies stated that AI PCs are expanding attack surfaces and introducing new endpoint risks as AI assistants process sensitive data directly on devices.
