Compass Minerals to redeem $150M in senior notes early

Compass Minerals International Inc. (NYSE: CMP) announced it will fully redeem $150 million in aggregate principal amount of its 6.750% Senior Notes due 2027 on March 30, 2026.
The company will use cash on hand to redeem the notes at 100% of the principal amount plus accrued and unpaid interest. The redemption represents an acceleration of the company's debt reduction strategy.
"One of our top priorities for fiscal 2026 is to execute on a decisive deleveraging plan," said Peter Fjellman, chief financial officer. "We are pleased to use our strong liquidity to pay down this debt ahead of schedule."
A notice of redemption was sent by the trustee to all registered holders of the 2027 Notes, according to the company's statement.
Compass Minerals operates as a provider of salt and plant nutrition products, with 11 production and packaging facilities and more than 1,800 employees across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
