Qualys Inc. (NASDAQ: QLYS) announced the launch of Agent Val within its Enterprise TruRisk Management platform. The AI-powered tool validates vulnerabilities by testing exploitability in live production environments and automates risk remediation processes.
The company states Agent Val addresses challenges in vulnerability management as known exploited vulnerability volume has grown 6.5 times over four years. The tool uses TruConfirm technology to test whether vulnerabilities can actually be exploited in production environments, moving beyond theoretical risk assessments.
Agent Val performs three primary functions: validating real exploitability by testing vulnerabilities in live environments, mitigating confirmed risks through targeted controls, and proving risk reduction by re-testing after remediation. The company claims the tool provides over 1,600 CVE coverage and can reduce remediation noise by 90%.
"Having a vulnerability does not equal risk," said Sumedh Thakar, president and CEO of Qualys. "What matters is whether an attacker can successfully reach and execute an exploit path in your environment."
The solution integrates with Qualys' existing Enterprise TruRisk Management platform and requires no additional sensor deployment. Agent Val coordinates exposure identification, validates exploitability using business context and asset criticality, and feeds confirmed results into ETM for prioritized remediation.
Agent Val powered by TruConfirm is now generally available as part of Qualys ETM, according to the company's press release statement.
