US Foods awarded $137 million defense contract

Investing.com - The U.S. Department of War announced Friday it had awarded US Foods Inc. (NYSE: USFD) a maximum $137,113,715 contract for full-line food and beverage items.
The firm-fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract was awarded to US Foods - Los Angeles, based in La Mirada, California. The contract runs for 322 days with no option periods and an ordering period end date of Feb. 6, 2027.
The sole-source acquisition was made using justification 10 U.S. Code 3204 (a)(1), as stated in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. Performance will take place in Arizona.
The contract will serve the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. Funding will come from fiscal 2026 through 2027 defense working capital funds.
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, issued the contract, designated SPE300-26-D-3013.
