Volkswagen chairman to seek re-election at June meeting
Investing.com -- Volkswagen announced on Friday that Chairman Hans Dieter Poetsch will seek re-election at the carmaker's annual general meeting in June.
Poetsch has served as chairman of the supervisory board since 2015, when he assumed the role weeks after Volkswagen acknowledged using illegal software to rig diesel engine tests in the United States, marking the beginning of the diesel emissions scandal.
