Unilever confirms talks with McCormick over Foods business sale

Unilever PLC (NYSE: UL) confirmed it received an offer for its Foods business and is in discussions with McCormick & Company, Inc., according to a company statement.
The confirmation follows recent media speculation about a potential transaction involving the Foods division. Unilever stated there is no certainty that any transaction will be agreed.
The company's board described the Foods business as having a strong financial profile with market-leading brands in growing categories. The board expressed confidence in the future of the Foods business as part of Unilever.
Unilever did not disclose financial terms or timeline details for the discussions with McCormick.
