GE HealthCare adds Stryker CEO Kevin Lobo to board of directors

GE HealthCare Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: GEHC) announced the appointment of Kevin A. Lobo to its board of directors, effective March 13. Lobo serves as chair and chief executive officer of Stryker Corporation (NYSE: SYK).
Lobo brings over 25 years of experience in medical technology, operations and finance. He has served as Stryker's CEO since October 2012 and as chair of its board since July 2014. Prior to his current role, he held leadership positions within Stryker's Orthopedics Group and Neurotechnology and Spine Group.
Before joining Stryker, Lobo worked at Johnson & Johnson, including as president of Ethicon Endo Strategy, and at Rhône-Poulenc, a chemical and pharmaceutical company. He previously held finance roles at KPMG, Unilever and Kraft Canada.
"Kevin is a seasoned healthcare executive with a deep understanding of the medical technology landscape," said H. Lawrence Culp Jr., chairman of GE HealthCare's board, according to the company's statement.
Lobo stated that he looks forward to working with the management team as the company executes its strategy.
GE HealthCare operates as a global healthcare solutions provider with imaging, advanced visualization solutions, patient care solutions and pharmaceutical diagnostics segments. The company reported $20.6 billion in revenue and employs approximately 54,000 people worldwide.
