Salesforce Inc. (NYSE: CRM) announced a partnership with NVIDIA Corp. to integrate AI agents into enterprise business workflows through its Agentforce platform and NVIDIA's Nemotron models.
The collaboration combines Salesforce's Agentforce platform with NVIDIA's Agent Toolkit to deploy AI agents across regulated and on-premises environments. The integration allows employees to access AI agents through Slack while maintaining data governance and compliance requirements.
NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Nano is now available within Agentforce, featuring a 1 million token context window that enables agents to process long customer histories and complex workflows. The model uses a Mixture of Experts architecture designed to reduce computational costs in multi-step agent operations.
For regulated industries, organizations can deploy Nemotron models on NVIDIA AI infrastructure within on-premises or private-cloud environments to meet compliance and data residency requirements while keeping model processing within their security boundaries.
The system uses Slack as a coordination layer where Slackbot receives user requests, triggers Agentforce workflows, and orchestrates agent actions across enterprise systems. Users can make requests in Slack that activate Agentforce workflows, process data through Nemotron models, and execute actions across connected business systems.
The companies outlined a reference architecture with five defined layers: Slack for collaboration, Slackbot for coordination, Agentforce for reasoning and execution, Salesforce Data 360 for enterprise context, and NVIDIA infrastructure for AI processing.
Applications include compliance agents for financial services companies that can review transactions and surface risk signals in secure channels, and healthcare case history summarization while maintaining data access controls.
