Venture Global Inc. (NYSE: VG) announced a long-term sales and purchase agreement with Spanish energy company Naturgy for 1 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas over 20 years beginning in 2030.
The contract represents Spain's first long-term agreement for American LNG since Venture Global's initial contract in 2018, according to the company's statement. Venture Global has delivered 35 cargoes to Spain from its Calcasieu Pass and Plaquemines facilities.
The agreement marks Venture Global's second long-term contract with a Spanish company and brings the company's total long-term contracts signed in 2025 to 5.75 million tonnes per annum.
"This contract will positively impact the U.S. balance of trade with Spain and enhance energy security across the region," said Mike Sabel, CEO of Venture Global.
Venture Global operates as an American LNG producer and exporter with over 100 million tonnes per annum of capacity in production, construction, or development. The company began LNG production from its first facility in 2022 and operates facilities in Louisiana along the Gulf of Mexico.
The company's business includes assets across the LNG supply chain, encompassing production, natural gas transport, shipping and regasification. Venture Global is developing carbon capture and sequestration projects at each of its LNG facilities.
