Investing.com -- Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL) is in advanced discussions to acquire cybersecurity startup Wiz for about $30 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
A deal could be reached soon if the talks continue to progress, the people told the Journal.
This is Alphabet's second attempt to acquire the cybersecurity startup after reportedly coming close to wrapping up a $23B deal for Wiz last summer, according to the Journal.
The deal, which stand out among the biggest so far this year, would likely attract regulatory scrutiny.
