Truist Securities analyst William Stein lowered the price target on AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) to $130.00 (from $145.00) while maintaining a Hold rating.
The analyst commented: "We don't want to get too negative, but DC GPU slowing already is discouraging; AMD offers a muted 1H outlook as Datacenter slows; we'll see about 2H. AMD's Q4 result beat expectations, but almost entirely from client, and somewhat from gaming. Datacenter missed, and was guided down in Q1 and flattish 1H25/2H24 - discouraging considering market strength. AMD highlights an earlier than it expected release of its nextgen DC GPU in mid-25. It sounds great, but gives NVDA more room to dominate. We also remain concerned about the potential for X86 to come under pressure from new CPU competitors. Our CY26 EPS goes to $5.67 (from $5.81). PT to $130 (from $145) based on 23x (10x discount to DC peers at 33x) CY26 EPS."
