United Microelectronics (UMC) Tops Q3 EPS by 1c, provides outlook

United Microelectronics (NYSE: UMC) reported Q3 EPS of $0.18, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.91 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.84 billion.
