BofA Securities analyst Ronald Epstein reiterated a Neutral rating and $200.00 price target on Boeing (NYSE: BA).
The analyst comments "On August 24, 2024, NASA officially announced the two astronauts currently on the International Space Station will return in 2025 on a SpaceX capsule. Boeing’s Starliner, which the astronauts arrived in, will come back to Earth empty. This decision follows months of technical challenges, including leaking helium and failed thrusters, on the Starliner capsule. According to NASA’s press conference, the SpaceX capsule was already scheduled to go to the station next month and reconfiguring the trip so it could bring home the two astronauts became “the easiest and the best option, and the most efficient option”. We interpret this as the safest option for all those involved."
