Goldman Sachs analyst Kash Rangan reiterated a Buy rating and $515.00 price target on Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT).

The analyst comments "Coming out of Microsoft Build, we continue to see Microsoft paving the path for democratized Gen-AI adoption as it builds out the ecosystem with innovations in all layers of the tech-stack. Given Microsoft’s prevalent offerings across organizations and consumers, we see the company in a uniquely advantageous position to define how AI evolves into a more broadly used technology. Building on top of earlier innovations over the last 18 months and with a greater focus on cost efficiency, from infrastructure to applications and now hardware, we see Microsoft building out the core aspects that cement the long-term relevance of new technologies. For this reason, the company's announcements - from Copilot extensions, to the distillment of foundation models and AI-enabled PCs - we expect Microsoft to be able to sustain its first-mover advantage to continue to be a dominant player in the age of Gen-AI. We elaborate on our conference-specific takeaways and outline some key technological enhancements within this note. We reiterate our Buy rating and $515 PT as we see a long growth runway for the foreseeable future, with Microsoft well ahead of where it was during the prior major technology cycle - the cloud migration (where it now holds a formidable market position)."
