Investing.com -- Hashicorp surged Tuesday as IBM (NYSE: IBM) is reportedly in talks to buy the the cloud software, with a possible deal expected in the next few days, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing unnamed sources.
Hashicorp Inc (NASDAQ: HCP) was up 22% following the news, taking its market cap north of $6 billion.
The WSJ reported that it was still possible that talks may not lead to a transaction.
