Kura Sushi (KRUS) Misses Q2 EPS by 6c, Offers Guidance

Kura Sushi (NASDAQ: KRUS) reported Q2 EPS of ($0.09), $0.06 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.03). Revenue for the quarter came in at $57.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $56.63 million.

GUIDANCE:

Kura Sushi sees FY2024 revenue of $243-246 million, versus the consensus of $243 million.

• 13 to 14 new restaurants, with average net capital expenditures per unit of approximately $2.5 million; and
• General and administrative expenses as a percentage of sales to be between 14.0% and 14.5%.
