Honda Motor (HMC) Sony Honda Mobility looks to source EV batteries from U.S.

Izumi Kawanishi, the president of Sony Honda Mobility, an automotive joint venture made up of Sony and Honda (NYSE: HMC), told Reuters Wednesday that the company might potentially acquire batteries for their upcoming Afeela electric car from the United States, where Honda is in the process of constructing a factory.
Kawanishi provided this information during the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo, which was accessible to the press a day prior to its official commencement.
