United Microelectronics (UMC) Tops Q3 EPS by 4c

United Microelectronics (NYSE: UMC) reported Q3 EPS of $0.20, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.77 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.76 billion.

Q4 Guidance: Capacity utilization rate low-60% range; gross profit - low-30% range; ASP will remain flat; Wafer shipment will decline by ~5%.
