Tesla (TSLA) restarts Magic Dock installations in Texas

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) recently resumed their Magic Dock technology in Texas. Constructing new Superchargers equipped with the Magic Dock connection, extending its availability to a third region.

The Magic Dock, introduced earlier this year, serves as a connector facilitating electric vehicle owners with the Combined Charging Standard (CCS) to conveniently recharge at Superchargers.

Speculation arose as early as January, suggesting that Tesla was in the process of constructing Supercharger posts equipped with the Magic Dock technology and planning their installation in various U.S. states.

Further investigating by Teslarati found that Tesla had been placing the Magic Dock Superchargers in New York and California.

The Magic Dock is poised to play a crucial role in Tesla's Supercharger network, primarily because Tesla may need to accommodate other electric vehicles (EVs) using the Combined Charging Standard (CCS) since it has not yet become a universal "standard." Although many other automakers have widely adopted Tesla’s North American Charging Standard, Tesla's Magic Dock is expected to facilitate seamless integration and enable the company to serve a broader range of EVs.

Shares of TSLA are down 2.08% in early trading Wednesday.
