Fire crews were called to the Foxconn plant in Lordstown Sunday night after Lordstown Motors’ (NASDAQ: RIDE) test vehicle caught on fire. Company officials say they are trying to find out why the Endurance test vehicle went up in flames.
According to a statement from Lordstown Motors, the electric pickup truck described by the company as “non-salable” was being kept in storage at the time of the fire which investigators say destroyed the vehicle.
Firefighters were on the scene for about two hours, and no one was injured.
Shares of RIDE are up 1.24% in early trading on Monday.
