The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on their website that Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) is recalling 362,758 vehicles equipped with Full Self-Driving Beta (FSD Beta) software or pending installation.
The system “may allow the vehicle to act unsafe around intersections,” including traveling straight through an intersection from a turn lane and proceeding through steady-yellow traffic lights, according to a filing Thursday.
Tesla will release an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by April 15, 2023.
Shares of TSLA are down 1.14% in mid-day trading on Thursday.
