Reuters reported late Tuesday that electric vehicle maker, Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has shortened delivery waiting times for their Model 3 and Model Y cars in China. According to the company’s Chinese website, the delivery period has been shortened to a maximum of 14 weeks.
The electric automaker reduced the waiting times for most of the Model 3 and Model Y cars to six to 10 weeks, the website showed.
Buyers of the long-range version of Model Y still need to wait for 10 to 14 weeks after placing the orders, compared to 16 to 20 weeks previously.
Tesla has shortened the wait times for models in China several times in the past two months, with upgrades to its Shanghai plant allowing for a significant increase in capacity. The last change in expected delivery times for Tesla vehicles in China came on August 31, when the company reduced the wait time for the entry-level Model Y from 4-8 weeks to 1-4 weeks.
