Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) reported its Q3 results, with EPS coming in at $2.22, beating the consensus estimate of $2.18. Revenue grew 18% year-over-year to $49.4 billion, slightly above the consensus estimate of $49.03 billion.
Productivity and Business Processes segment revenue rose 17% year-over-year to $15.8 billion, Intelligent Cloud revenue rose 26% to $19.1 billion, and More Personal Computing revenue rose 11% to $14.5 billion.
"Going forward, digital technology will be the key input that powers the world's economic output," said CEO Satya Nadella. "Across the tech stack, we are expanding our opportunity and taking share as we help customers differentiate, build resilience, and do more with less."
The company repurchased $12.4 billion of stock in the quarter, up 25% from the same quarter last year.
Shares of Microsoft are down 20% year-to-date. They are flat after-hours.
