PayPal (PYPL) Tops Q3 EPS by 4c, Q4 Guidance Misses, Enters Pact with Amazon to enable customers in the U.S. to pay with Venmo

PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL) reported Q3 EPS of $1.11, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $1.07. Revenue for the quarter came in at $6.18 billion versus the consensus estimate of $6.23 billion.
- Venmo users in the U.S. will be able to pay with Venmo on Amazon.com starting in 2022
- Teaming up with Amazon to enable customers in the U.S. to pay with Venmo at checkout. Starting next year, customers will be able to make purchases on Amazon.com and the Amazon mobile shopping app using their Venmo accounts
GUIDANCE:
PayPal sees Q4 2021 EPS of $1.12, versus the consensus of $1.27. PayPal sees Q4 2021 revenue of $6.85-6.95 billion, versus the consensus of $7.24 billion.
