BlackBerry (BB) Shares Up 9% Following Solid Q2 Results

BlackBerry (NYSE: BB) shares were trading around 9% higher after-hours following the company’s reported Q2 results, with EPS coming in at ($0.06), better than the Street estimate of ($0.07).
Quarterly revenue was $175 million (vs. consensus of $163.5 million) with Cyber Security revenue of $120 million and IoT revenue of $40 million.
According to John Chen, Executive Chairman & CEO of the company, revenue for all businesses beat expectations, with Cyber Security delivering robust sequential billings and revenue growth and IoT performing well in the face of global chip shortage pressures.
