Acadia Healthcare (NASDAQ: ACHC) reported Q2 EPS of $0.71, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $0.63. Revenue for the quarter came in at $582.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $560.83 million.
Debbie Osteen, Chief Executive Officer of Acadia, remarked, “We are pleased with the momentum in our business as Acadia delivered a strong financial and operating performance in the second quarter of 2021. These results reflect increased demand for our behavioral health services and our continued focus on driving efficiencies across our operations. We experienced favorable volume trends, demonstrating the strength of our proven operating model and successful execution of our growth strategy across our service lines, all of which provide exceptional patient care. Importantly, the growing acceptance surrounding mental health and substance abuse issues and the more favorable reimbursement environment for treatment have also been key drivers of demand.
