F5 Networks (FFIV) Tops Q1 EPS by 12c, Q2 EPS Guidance Misses

F5 Networks (NASDAQ: FFIV) reported Q1 EPS of $2.55, $0.12 better than the analyst estimate of $2.43. Revenue for the quarter came in at $569.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $565.96 million.

GUIDANCE:

F5 Networks sees Q2 2020 EPS of $2.14-$2.17, versus the consensus of $2.44. F5 Networks sees Q2 2020 revenue of $580-590 million, versus the consensus of $570.9 million.

• For the second quarter of fiscal year 2020 ending March 31, 2020, F5 expects to deliver non-GAAP revenue in the range of $580 million to $590 million with non-GAAP earnings in the range of $2.14 to $2.17 per diluted share. The Company’s outlook for its fiscal second quarter includes anticipated contribution from Shape Security following the transaction close on January 24, 2020.
