Peloton (PTON) Q1 Revenue Tops Views, Offers Q2 and FY Guidance

Peloton (NASDAQ: PTON) reported Q1 EPS of ($1.29) may not compare to analyst estimate of ($0.39). Revenue for the quarter came in at $228 million versus the consensus estimate of $196.86 million.

GUIDANCE:

Peloton sees Q2 2020 revenue of $410-420 million, versus the consensus of $384.3 million.

  • 680,000 to 685,000 ending Connected Fitness Subscribers, growth of 88% at midpoint • $410 million to $420 million total revenue, 58% growth at midpoint • $(70) million to $(65) million Adjusted EBITDA, (16.3)% Adjusted EBITDA margin at midpoint

Peloton sees FY2020 revenue of $1.45-1.5 billion, versus the consensus of $1.35 billion.

  • 885,000 to 895,000 ending Connected Fitness Subscribers, growth of 74% at midpoint • $1.45 billion to $1.50 billion total revenue, 61% growth at midpoint • $(170) million to $(150) million Adjusted EBITDA, (10.8)% Adjusted EBITDA margin at midpoint

Raymond James analyst Justin Patterson said the results "demonstrate strong demand for its products in both the U.S. and international markets, and deep engagement by consumers." He reiterated an Outperform rating on the stock.
