J.Jill (JILL) Misses Q1 EPS by 7c, Cuts FY Guidance

J.Jill (NYSE: JILL) reported Q1 EPS of $0.10, $0.07 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter came in at $176.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $180.04 million.

Total company comparable sales, which includes comparable store and direct to consumer sales, decreased by 3.3%.

GUIDANCE:

J.Jill sees Q2 2019 EPS of ($0.08)-($0.10), versus the consensus of $0.21.

  • For the second quarter of fiscal 2019, we expect total comparable sales to decrease 1% to 3% with total net sales expected to be -1% to +1%.

J.Jill sees FY2019 EPS of $0.17-$0.21, versus the consensus of $0.69.

  • We expect total comparable sales to decrease 2% to 4% with total net sales expected to be flat to -2%
