Piper Jaffray analyst Edward Tenthoff maintains Overweight on Arrowhead Research (NASDAQ: ARWR) price target of $17.00.
The analyst says the ARO-HBV update is encouraging. He comments "All 8 HBV patients responded with a mean 2.0log HBsAg reduction to Day 84 and 1.4log reduction to Day 71 for the 100mg and 200mg cohorts, respectively. The magnitude of HBsAg reduction with infrequent monthly dosing is impressive. Importantly, response was observed in a broad population including HBeAg positive and harder to treat HBeAg negative patients, regardless of prior treatment. Safety was clean across 40 patients. AROHBV data will be presented in a keynote September 7 at the conference and the next AROHBV update is expected at AASLD November 7-11. The company is rapidly advancing 6 wholly-owned and partnered TRiM RNAi candidates in the clinic by YE:18."
Further, regarding ARO-AAT, then analyst believes it could be dosed monthly or less frequently and believes the company could begin robust Phase 2 study in AAT liver disease patients in 2019.
