Best Buy (BBY) Tops Q2 EPS by 8c, Comps Increase 6.2%, Raises FY Guidance

Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) reported Q2 EPS of $0.91, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $0.83. Revenue for the quarter came in at $9.38 billion versus the consensus estimate of $9.28 billion.

  • Enterprise Comparable Sales Increased 6.2%

GUIDANCE:

Best Buy sees Q3 2019 EPS of $0.79-$0.84, versus the consensus of $0.91. Best Buy sees Q3 2019 revenue of $9.4-9.5 billion, versus the consensus of $9.49 billion.

  • Enterprise comparable sales growth of 2.5% to 3.5%

Best Buy sees FY2019 EPS of $4.95-$5.10, versus the consensus of $5.02. Best Buy sees FY2019 revenue of $42.3-42.7 billion, versus the consensus of $42.33 billion.

  • Enterprise comparable sales growth of 3.5% to 4.5%1 versus original guidance of flat to growth of 2.0%
