UPDATE: J.Jill (JILL) Tops Q2 EPS by 1c, Offers Guidance

J.Jill (NYSE: JILL) reported Q2 EPS of $0.24, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.23. Revenue for the quarter came in at $179.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $178.75 million.
GUIDANCE:
J.Jill sees GAAP Q3 2018 EPS of $0.09-$0.11 may not compare to consensus of $0.16.
- including a $0.02 benefit from a lower tax rate, and a $0.03 positive impact related to the calendar shift.
- For the third quarter of fiscal 2018, the Company expects total comparable sales to decrease 2% to 4%. Total net sales are expected to increase 2% to 4%, driven by the calendar shift created by the fifty-third week in fiscal 2017, that will shift sales from the fourth quarter to the third quarter in fiscal 2018.
