Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY) Tops Q1 EPS by 9c; Raises Outlook

Bristol-Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY) reported Q1 EPS of $0.94, $0.09 better than the analyst estimate of $0.85. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.24 billion.

GUIDANCE:

  • Bristol-Myers Squibb sees FY2018 EPS of $3.35-$3.45, versus the consensus of $3.26.
  • Worldwide revenues increasing in the mid-single digits.
  • Research and development expenses increasing in the low-single digits for GAAP.
  • An effective tax rate between 17% and 18% for both GAAP and non-GAAP.
