Netflix (NFLX) Blows Away Wall Street Again With 8.3M Net Subscriber Additions in Q4

Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) again proved why it's the king of streaming video. The company grew revenue 33% year-over-year and added 8.33 million subscribers in the quarter, most international. For the year, revenue grew 36% and the company added 24 million new memberships (compared to 19 million in 2016).
Netflix reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.41, in-line with estimates. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.29 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.28 billion.
The company reported Q4 streaming subscriber additions of 8.33 million: 1.98 million domestic (consensus was 1.25 million) and 6.36 million Intl. (consensus was 5.05 million).
Looking ahead to the first quarter, Netflix sees EPS of $0.63, versus the consensus of $0.56. They see revenue of $3.686 billion versus the consensus of $3.49 billion.
For subscriber additions in Q1, Netflix sees total streaming additions of 6.35 million: 1.45 million domestic (consensus was 1.3 million) and 4.9 million Intl. (consensus was 3.9 million).
