Nordstrom (JWN) Tops Q3 EPS by 7c; Narrows Top End of EPS Guidance

Nordstrom (NYSE: JWN) reported Q3 EPS of $0.71, ex-items, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $0.64. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.63 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.59 billion.

Total Company net sales increased 2.0 percent and comparable sales decreased 0.9 percent.

GUIDANCE:

Nordstrom sees FY2017 EPS of $2.85-$2.95, versus the prior view of $2.85-$3.00 and consensus of $2.98.
