Novartis (NVS) Tops Q2 EPS by 4c, Re-Confirms FY17 Outlook

Novartis (NYSE: NVS) reported Q2 EPS of $1.22, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $1.18. Revenue for the quarter came in at $12.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $12.25 billion.

2017 Group outlook re-confirmed:

• Net sales expected to be broadly in line with prior year (cc), core operating income expected to be broadly in line or decline low single digit (cc)
