Stifel raised its price target on Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) to $79.00 (from $72.00) while maintaining a Hold rating. Wal-Mart Stores reported 1Q results with EPS of $1.00, compared to consensus of $0.96. U.S. comp store sales growth of 1.4% was in line with consensus and guidance.
For 2Q, Wal-Mart anticipates adjusted EPS of $1.00-$1.08, U.S. comp store sales growth of 1.5%-2.0%, and Sam’s Club ex fuel comps of 1.0%-1.5%, both compared to consensus of 1.4%.
