Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) will allow Amazon Prime Video App on Apple TV, according to a BuzzFeed News report by John Paczkowki and in return, Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) will allow Apple TV devices to be sold on its dominant online platform. An announcement is expected to take place during Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference on June 5th in San Jose, California.
Paczkowki notes, an actual date for a release of the app is still being discussed as, "the app is expected to go live this summer, but cautioned that the hard launch date might change. Amazon had previously declined to even submit a Prime Video app for inclusion in Apple’s Apple TV App Store, despite Apple’s 'all are welcome' proclamations."
