Ross Stores (ROST) Tops Q4 EPS by 2c, Comps Increase 4%, Offers Guidance

Ross Stores (NASDAQ: ROST) reported Q4 EPS of $0.77, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.75. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.51 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.46 billion.

  • comparable store sales up 4% on top of a 4% increase in 2015.

GUIDANCE:

Ross Stores sees Q1 2017 EPS of $0.76-$0.79, versus the consensus of $0.82.

  • comparable store sales are forecast to be up 1% to 2%

Ross Stores sees FY2017 EPS of $3.02-$3.15, versus the consensus of $3.14.

  • For the 52 weeks ending January 27, 2018, the Company is forecasting same store sales to grow 1% to 2% compared to 4% last year.
