Comtech Telecom (CMTL) Tops Q1 EPS by 5c

Comtech Telecom (NASDAQ: CMTL) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.11), $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.16). Revenue for the quarter came in at $135.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $139.1 million.

GUIDANCE:

Comtech Telecom sees FY2017 EPS of $0.30, versus the consensus of $0.29. Comtech Telecom sees FY2017 revenue of $600 million, versus the consensus of $597.32 million.

In commenting on the Company's performance during the first quarter of fiscal 2017, Fred Kornberg, President and Chief Executive Officer, noted “Although international business conditions remain challenging, we are pleased with our first quarter fiscal 2017 results, which we view as a solid foundation for the rest of fiscal 2017.”
