Quintiles (Q) Tops Q3 EPS by 1c; Issues Confident Q4 Outlook

Quintiles (NYSE: Q) reported Q3 EPS of $1.00, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.99. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.14 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.16 billion.

Backlog now reported on an as-contracted basis: $9.4 billion as of September 30, 2016 of which approximately $2.7 billion expected to convert to revenue over the next 12 months

GUIDANCE:

Quintiles sees Q4 2016 EPS of $1.04-$1.08, versus the consensus of $1.03. Quintiles sees Q4 2016 revenue of $1.95-1.99 billion, versus the consensus of $1.95 billion.
