Ametek (AME) Reports In-Line Q2 EPS, FY EPS Guidance Comes in Light

Ametek (NYSE: AME) reported Q2 EPS of $0.59, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.59. Revenue for the quarter came in at $977.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $986.35 million.

GUIDANCE:

Ametek sees Q3 2016 EPS of $0.54-$0.55, versus the consensus of $0.64.

• Third quarter 2016 sales are expected to be down mid-single digits on a percentage basis compared to last year's third quarter.

Ametek sees FY2016 EPS of $2.28-$2.32, versus the consensus of $2.45.

• 2016 sales to be down low-single digits with organic sales down mid-single digits on a percentage basis
