Sempra Energy (SRE) Misses Q1 EPS by 19c; Trims FY16 EPS Outlook

Sempra Energy (NYSE: SRE) reported Q1 EPS of $1.47, $0.19 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.66. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.62 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.05 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Sempra Energy sees FY2016 EPS of $4.60-$5.00, versus the consensus of $4.99.

Sempra Energy also today set its 2020 earnings-per-share guidance range at $7.20 to $7.80, reflecting an expected compound annual growth rate in adjusted earnings of 12 percent from 2016 through 2020.
