Tableau Software (DATA) Shares Plunge Following Q4 Results and Weak Outlook

Tableau Software (NYSE: DATA) reported Q4 EPS of $0.33, $0.17 better than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter came in at $202.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $200.77 million.
"In Q4, a record 3,600 new customer accounts chose Tableau, bringing our total to more than 39,000 worldwide. This speaks to the immense popularity of Tableau's products and continued strong demand from customers around the world," said Christian Chabot, Chief Executive Officer of Tableau. "I remain optimistic that Tableau is best positioned to address the large and growing market opportunity for self-service visual analytics."
UPDATE: On its call the company said it sees FY 2016 sales of $830-$850 million, versus the consensus of $871 million. They sees FY 2016 EPS of $0.22-$0.35, versus the consensus of $0.62.
Analyst Abhey Lamba also noted the license revenues in Q4 came in at $133 million (up 31% Y/Y) slightly below consensus of $135 million.
The stock is down 48.5% to $42.10 after-hours.
