The Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) main website has been updated. Those visiting the site will now see a video clip of a Model S and its features.
The video appears to be in .m4v format, which, coincidentally, was developed by Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL).
While the move might be simple for some tech companies, the move is a big step forward for Tesla, which has shunned advertising in the past.
Just yesterday, Tesla also uploaded a video to YouTube about its venture into Hong Kong, along with customer reactions.
Shares of Tesla are down 1.7 percent.
