Ciena (CIEN) Tops Q4 EPS by 3c

Ciena (NYSE: CIEN) reported Q4 EPS of $0.42, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.39. Revenue for the quarter came in at $692 million versus the consensus estimate of $683.56 million.

GUIDANCE:

Ciena sees Q1 2016 revenue of $550-590 million, versus the consensus of $634.8 million.

Ciena expects financial performance for fiscal year 2016 to include:

• Revenue growth in the range of 8 to 9 percent
• Adjusted (non-GAAP) gross margin in the mid-40s percent range
• Adjusted (non-GAAP) operating expense of approximately $225 million per quarter
• Adjusted (non-GAAP) operating margin in the range of 11 to 12 percent
