Barnes & Noble Education (NYSE: BNED) reported Q2 EPS of $0.69, $0.20 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.89. Revenue for the quarter came in at $755.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $789.68 million.
Comparable sales decreased 3.0% during the quarter and 1.9% year to date.
Outlook
For fiscal year 2016, the Company is revising its comparable store sales expectations from increasing approximately 1% to be flat to down 2.0%. Also, the Company expects capital expenditures to be approximately $50 million, a decrease from the $55 million previously disclosed.
