Anthem (ANTM) Tops Q3 EPS by 10c; Trims FY15 Outlook

Anthem (NYSE: ANTM) reported Q3 EPS of $2.43, $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of $2.33. Revenue for the quarter came in at $19.77 billion versus the consensus estimate of $19.63 billion.

Medical enrollment increased sequentially by 174,000 members, or 0.5%, totaling approximately 38.7 million members as of September 30, 2015.

Guidance:

Anthem sees FY2015 EPS of $10.10-$10.20, versus the consensus of $10.22. Company now expects medical enrollment to grow by 800,000 – 1,000,000 members for the full year 2015.
